Tristan's 6th Birthday

Saturday we went to Tristan's 6th Birthday party! He had a great time with several of his friends and family. Mike & Michaelle rented a big bouncy castle and the kids played and played and played. It was a very hot day, got to be 97 degrees. M & M had several fans blowing into the castle so that really help a lot.

This is what you call a big bass!

What a day Al had fishing. He went to the pond up behind our house and hooked this 6 lb., 23" long bass! This sure did make his day. Maybe this is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! (For all you fishermen out there, if you click the picture you can enlarge the picture.)

So Much for the Rainbow's Good Luck!

Al & I went to the casino yesterday afternoon. I told him we had to go, because we not only saw a rainbow, but it started in our yard. I just knew it meant good luck for us. WELL, not so! We both lost our $30. But we did have a nice time. Made our contribution to the boat and had a good dinner. By the way, they gave us $10 towards our dinner. So that eased the pain of losing $$$$...

A Day with Tristan

This too is just a little out of order, but we had such a nice day with Tristan I just had to share. We went to the Children's Museum of Evansville (CMOE) and then fishing. He was so thrilled to catch fish and so was grandma!

This is a bit out of order, date-wise, but early June Jenny, Hailey, Paige and I took a road trip to Pittsburgh. We got to do some really neat things. When we were at the Carnegie Science Center the girls got to do some cool things. Not just the little girls, the big girls got to have fun too. Notice the weather forcasters! LOL Aunt Barb went with us and it was such a fun day.

The next day we went to the Carnegie Museum and enjoyed the dinosaurs....

Spoiled Kitty!

This is our cat Squeaky. In 2007 we went to Alaska and when we got home we found a starving cat on our porch. I guess you could say that he adopted us! Since then he's had it rough. He fractured his leg and had a pin put in to hold the bones in his leg together. The toy he is holding is a stuffed flea and he loves to play with it. We've decided that it's the little things you enjoy the most and Squeaky is one of those little things for us!

The day started out like a sauna. It was 81 around 8:30 a.m. As the day progressed it got hotter and hotter until this huge storm blew in. Our yard is littered with branches and leaves, but to my amazement we were blessed with a beautiful rainbow. It started in our yard and arched right over the polebarn and ended in the field. I looked all over for that darn "pot of gold" but never found it!
